It's Sunday Already????

My coffee is cold and I haven't written up my notes for anatomy. I also haven't organized my swim bag. Or my summer plans. What is worng with me!

Well, I am pleased to announce that I am the proud owner of the Sharper Image's Ionic Breeze. It is the best machine I have, only second to my computer. Don't accept imitations! Not only that, they have an offer now where when you buy one, get a free mini Ionic Breeze (sooo cute) and another Ionic Breeze for HALF PRICE!! Don't you just love The Sharper Image?

Okay, so now that I have told you how excited I am about clean air, let's check out some links:

Here is a VERY delicious site with great recipies for corned beef and cabbage
Save Ferris is finished and Monique Powell is going solo
As noted above, my favorite coffee is Cafe Oquendo. YUM!
And we can't forget my favorite soda Inca Cola. Double Yum!
LOL! Donna C beat that retard Lars Ulrich as best drummer at the California Music Awards. (scroll down the news reel)
EmoGame 2.0 isn't out yet, but there is a mini game that is available in the interim. It's pretty good and includes Hogan, Saddam and Bush, and that Kelly Osbourne that I just can't seem to defeat.

Okay enough emogame. I have to learn about the integumentary system... stat!

Today's Edition of "OH SNAP" provided by The Marines, Lou, and readers like you...

So I heard a Marine was being interviewed by an NPR person about him teaching rifle skills to a boy scout troop. She said that he was equipping them to be violent killers. His reply: You're equipped to be a prostitute but you're not.

Ba dum bum cssshhh! Oh Snap!

Im ignoring you because you're a big liar. I bet you don't know all the things your colleagues say about you behind your back. Well I do and boy is it unsettling! And to think that I thought you were a nice guy (somewhere in there). Silly me! I do have some advice for you though: the guy with the grey hair has a REALLY big mouth.

Good Afternoon!

So here I am, finally a day off! I didn't have to wake up for anything (except this damn headache; that's what happens when I sleep too much) and I get to stay all by my self drinking coffee and eating salty foods.

Tomorrow I start summer classes and I am excited but not excited. Excited because I'm sure the class will be great and I will have a lot of new learning experiences. I also think I will do very well (as usual). However, the non-excitement factor is the fact that we will be dissecting cats. I mean I have cats and they just look so helpless and everything. I wonder where they get them from. Maybe these are the cats that were euthanized by the ASPCA? Maybe. I should ask. I am also wondering if we could use a different book because the one that is assigned has like pictures of webpages on the back cover and well, that just doesn't look serious enough. And you know me and seriousness in school matters. Yeah.

Another issue I have is this new "CPE" test that is now being administered to all CUNY students. I was so pissed when I got that damn letter because I thought I was exempt but I guess not. Well, after much cooling down, I decided to look at it as just a silly inconvenience. I will do well anyway, so I got all worked up for nothing. Well, I will be taking it in July so I can get this crap out of the way.

Well, I should go get something to eat. I have to clean. I hope my grades are posted sheesh what is taking my science prof so long?

So I Was Thinking...

Since Air Force Personnel don't really get involved in ground combat, would they really need psychiatric assistance? I wonder. I was reading an article in Rolling Stone about some Recon Marines and they do some pretty dirty work. I think I may change my mind about just where I'd like to work. The only thing is that I love planes. What to do???

I'm Free!

I just had two grueling days of "jury service" and was dismissed. Whew! I thought I was going to have to serve on this case of some car accident to which the lawyers said would last like three days, miraculously beginning one the same day as classes were to start. Well they let me go and boy am I glad! Now I can focus on how good I'll look this summer in my terrycloth outfits and progressively darker tan.

So far, I've only recieved ONE donation for my MS Tour. COME ON PEOPLE, SHOW SOME SUPPORT!

So I have an interesting story that occurred on the train back from jury hell. This couple was asleep on the train and the lady had woke up and was trying to get her husband (?) to get up and he winds up falling on the floor in a stupor. There were about ten people who were right next to this guy. I was looking at him and his wife (?) who also didn't seem all on this planet either. So after about ten seconds of them doing whatever it was they were doing and him still on the floor, I walk over and help him up. So I'm pulling him up and he looks at me in the eyes and I just saw toatl confusion. I don't even think he knew I was another human. Well, anyway, I grab the cane from his wife and literally position it in his hand. So as he gets his balance, she thanks me and he continues to stagger. Goes back on the floor again but gets up. As they get off she thanks me again and I just nod. Now everyone in the train car is looking at me. All I can say is that the guy looked like a toatl ass on the floor and no one wanted to help him up and what was I supposed to do, let him look like a complete idiot? Whatever, I guess that is just me.

And As For You My Dear, Sweet Muse

As I said before...
No matter how many times you make idle talk
Or pass my classroom at the same time
No matter how long you stare at me in the hall
Or how much you wave at me
High or low
No matter where you park your car
Or where you stick your head.......
I will not acknowledge you. I will avert my eyes and smile.
There is nothing more I can do for you.
I have tested each contradiction.
I have thought it through.
I have done every imaginable thing I could do for you. Yet you rejected me. Do you not recall?
I am leaving you alone.
This is what you wanted, is it not?
You are aware as to what happened and what needs to be done.
Do you think I suffer? I do not suffer.
But you? I know you suffer.

As for that other guy... you better not talk to me again!

I think this is the guy who wrote the book I was going to buy which has explanations to all sorts of misconceptions including the "lunar landing hoax." Back to business

Today I write my Sociology essays, what a snooze. Then, I hope to go over my science final, also a snooze. To spice things up, I hope I can squeeze in some micro.

On a funnier note, I am ready to eat some "Keo Dau Phong" Fraternity peanut crisps. The nutrition label is very interesting:

Nutritional Information (per serving) Serving size 1oz:
Total fat 3g 0%; Total caro 1g 0%; Sat Fat 0.5mg 0%; Cholesterol 0mg 0%; Pider 1g 4%; Sugar 10g; Protein 1g; Calories 40g;
Percentage of US Daily Recommended Allowance (US ROA) Per serving:
Protein 20%; Vitamin A 0%; Vitamin C 0%; Vitamin 20%; Riboflavin 2%; Niacin 2%; Calcium 10%; Iron 40%;
CONTAINS LESS RHAN 2% US RECOMMENDED ALLOWANCE OF THESE NUTRIENTS

Okay so what is "pider"?

Sigh...

I can't wait for the summer semester to start! I am very anxious to start my anotomy class. I was looking through this anatomy book at school while I was completeing my micro notes and the pictures were far out! They actually had a sliced person to show the female reproductive system! Kinda scary but wow. The bone and brain pics were the coolest. The brain had all these folds and looked so majestic. I was also interested to learn how little space there is between the brain and the skull. No wonder my migraines hurt so bad! Damn.

So I am deciding if I should put rhinestones on my lab coat cuz I will definately use if for Anatomy lab. hehehe

I am so convinced!

So for the last few days I have been feeling "healthy." No agonizing headaches. No tiredness. No more concentration lapses. No weird appetites. No neck pain. It just suddenly went away. So now I have to say I am pretty certain I did have meningitis, just the viral kind, or aseptic meningitis. All my symptoms matched. No I didn't get a spinal tap and I don't think I will need an MRI after all. This whole ordeal lasted about a month! I was sick since early May. Now I feel better and well, alive! Now I am happy. However, I still can't explain what brought on the sudden "attacks" of hostility and irritability. Well, maybe that was part of it too. Or maybe just an excuse to kick some garbage cans? hehehe

So my finals begin Monday and I am about to start studying for my Science one (which is Monday). It won't be much and I will probably finish early and read some psychology or my psychiatric nursing text. It's very interesting. It even informs you that this profession is stigmatized (because you are working with crazies) and that it is very frustrating, especially when you are working in a publicly funded mental institution. Well, I do like problems of the mind. I think that would be the most challenging of all. Stigmatized? I'm already a freak to most people, so that would be nothing new there. I bet most people would say "oh yeah, that is perfect for her." Good, then I am doing the right thing!

So I have altered my plans slightly. I will get my license in Arizona and New York (if that is possible). Then I will move to Arizona after getting a job there (well, duh). Then After establishing residency, I will go to ASU (so it's cheaper) and get my whatever degree(s). Then when I am done with that, I will see about the Air Force. I hope I'm not too old! Now I really don't know about where to go for the PhD. Hmm. Well, I guess there is enough time to think about that huh?

SHAZAM!

So I scored a 90 on my latest psychology test. Scored a 94 on my Science lab final. Big surprise. What is a big suprise is my mark for micro. I can't believe this myself, but I scored an 88! I thought that test was so hard. Not only that, I had the highest mark in my class! Only two other people scored higher than me in the other class (they got in the 90s). I should buy myself a new outfit to reward my efforts. Then when the semester is over and I get all A's (well, except drawing... grumble grumble) I should go shopping! Yes, yes! and buy a new skirt and another terrycloth outfit (cuz they are sooooo cute!) and some earrings and see what is new at Sephora because we all know how much I love make up and all that. Okay, I'm getting too excited. Let me relax with some electric prunes (yeah yeah, in your face "dried plum" board of America).

I Rock... Z

So my new magic number is 95! I managed to score a 95 on my lab practical. I scored a 98 on my Urinary unknown too (okay it's not the magic number). Maybe I DO have magical mystical powers. Maybe not.

Well, I hope all of you people checked out the new UL homepage! I think I played too many songs and shut down the site. Well, sorry!

Okay, so I'm going to sign up for the MS Bike Tour soon and need you to sponsor me. I'll keep you posted.

You know you're studying too much for Microbiology when...

(1) You are eating cake and the sprinkles that fall off onto the plate remind you of a gram stain of Bacillus subtillis.
(2) You call your cat "toxoplasma kitty"
(3) You decorate your homemade fashion accesories with images of actinomyces.
(4) You draw mini comics on "The Misadventures of Aspergillus, Penicillum, and Rhizopus."

More to come I think. In the meantime, let's study Kuru. Mmmm... Braaaaaains!

Ow again

Another day, another headache. I am hoping this pain doesn't screw up my test tomorrow. I have all these things to go over, but my eyes hurt. Whatever.

on a funnier note (or not), I have found a place you can go to to send an annonymous email to those people you had sex with to kindly let them know you may have infected them with an STD. I emailed one to myself and I would have to say it's quite amusing. You get to customize the header to say "Don't panic, but you may have an STD" or "Ex-lover has a sexually transmitted disease, go get checked out. . ." The email says how this isn't spam and it is meant specifically for you. Now, I would use this great tool to do my evil bidding, but I decided not to. Now if anyone out there wants to use it for their evil bidding, or just wants to really let someone know, go here.
